Seventy-nine to go? Today is the end of the Islamic month of fasting, Ramadan, and a holiday in India. It is the first day of Eid al-Fitr, the Festival of Fast-Breaking, so I have an unexpected day off from work. Tomorrow, by a coincidence of the Islam and Hindu lunar calendars, is the first day of Ganesha Chaturthi, the 12 day celebration of the birth of the Hindu diety Ganesha, so that’s a day off, too! This is a big event in Mumbai, which is a big big city. I will see some of it tomorrow in the company of the film director’s family and later the family of the VFX Supervisor at Pixion, the company I am working with. I guess I better get my cameras charged up!
